Funny Photos and Captions

Bottom Left: Rex is down and out on the streets of los angeles after being rejected from an Airbud casting call. Rex claimed that he was rejected by the producers because of his moose horns, and plans to sue. He told us that"the problem with canine society today is that all the pups see these beautifully groomed slender dogs on t.v. and feel pressure to look that way, im here to show them that a dog with moosehorns can be just as beautiful."

Top Right: Local panda celebrates
his first birthday with a day in the
park. His day was later dampened
when his parents phil and linda
(both human), informed the panda
that he was adopted.
Top Left: Local man Gil Johnson clears out his clutter last weekend with a garage sale. Among the items were Gil's old coffin which Gil discovered was no longer necessary after a recent doctor's appointment confirmed that Gil was not, in fact, dead. "It's a relief," said Gil of the situation, "I mean, not being dead is definately a plus, but whats really exciting is that I totally made enough off of the coffin to get a pac-man machine."

Online Vs. Print

1. (A) A Family's Demons, Lake Makes Commute Shorter, Sweeter
(B) I like the print version better. The navigation was more confusing on the online one, plus I enjoy physically reading a newspaper much more than I do staring at a computer screen.
2. Lake Makes Commute Shorter, Sweeter, A Family's Demons, Moving film adroitly chronicles pain of Joy Division's Singer (B) Print, I didnt like all the clicking and the zooming in. (C) the navigation tools are fair, but still its not as simple as flipping through actual pages.
3. The photos look a little better in the print I think, I picked up some distortion and pixelation on the onlin photos.
4. That was about equal, cause you only had to click on the link to get there, but I didnt figure that out right away.
5. I would rather read the paper, it would be much easier to read if I can just pick one up and read it in my spare time like I do now. Being online requires me getting on the computer specifically to read, or taking the laptop to a wifi-hotspot, almost too much trouble for the paper. I like it just fine like it is.

Repitition

top left: the repetition here is seen in the city blocks below, and the jet streams of the planes. it gives an idea of the symetry of the flight patterns, and the vastness of the city.
top right: this photo displays repetition in the blue squares and the people around them. it is also a very uniform and symetrical photo.
bottom left: the repetition of the television screens extending to the front and growing smaller and smaller gives one the perception of the enormity of the plane.
